Job summary

Valley Hope of Atchison seeks a Registered Nurse for night shifts (5:30pm - 6:00am) to join a dedicated team in a residential treatment setting near Kansas City. You will provide compassionate medical care through 30-45 days of treatment, supporting patients as they recover.

Required: Associate’s degree in nursing, active RN license in the state, CPR certification, and 1 year of clinical nursing experience; substance abuse experience preferred. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing and active RN license.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of clinical nursing care experience; behavioral health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
• Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures.
• Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during detoxification.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations accurately and timely.
• Communicates with nursing supervisors and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment.
• Follows policies for medical emergencies and maintains infection control practices.
• Oversees non-licensed nursing staff under the Nursing Director.
