Job summary

The Recovery Village Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse to support addiction and mental health care on FT night shifts in Raytown, MO. You will deliver care, educate patients, document thoroughly, and coordinate with the leadership team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Night differential applies and comprehensive benefits are included. Minimum RN licensure in state, 2 years’ RN experience preferred, and behavioral health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Two years' RN experience preferred.
• Behavioral health experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice in the State of licensure (RN), active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Complete documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program and maintain medical records.
• Administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.
• Transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Confer with and assist medical personnel, internal and external resources.
• Provide documentation reflecting services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Assess medical and psychiatric needs and expedite treatment if required.
• Educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Take verbal orders from the medical provider and document them accurately.
• Provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

FT Night Positions Available, $3.00 Night Shift Differential

Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to the treatment of addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. We put behavioral health front and center, providing assistance to people with substance abuse issues, addictions and mental health concerns.

The Recovery Village Kansas City (KCR) is an addiction treatment center with a continuum of care for anyone struggling with substance use disorders. We offer a holistic treatment approach to addiction and treatment for co-occurring conditions. The Recovery Village Kansas City is a physician‑led center, and our Recovery Advocates can help you reclaim your life. Our 80‑bed treatment center in Kansas City is dedicated to providing all levels of care, including medical detox, residential treatment and outpatient programs. Our facility is located in tranquil, convenient Raytown, Missouri and is about 30 minutes from the Kansas City International Airport.

The Registered Nurse performs a wide variety of job duties during a shift, caring for and educating patients about their medical and psychiatric conditions. Establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families are key elements of this position. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility by completing the following.

Job Duties

• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
• Ability to administer medications as indicated and monitor detoxification process.

• Ability to confer with and assist medical personnel, both internal and external resources.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient determine the urgency of their needs and expedite treatment if required.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

• Pay: Starting rate $40/hr, based on experience.
