Job summary

Highland Hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift in an acute psychiatric setting. You will supervise LPNs/CNAs, assess patients, coordinate care, and ensure safety.

This on-site role requires nursing licensure and recent clinical experience. Responsibilities include developing individual care plans, documenting in medical records, administering medications, and communicating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in state or compact.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of patient and developing care plans.
• Supervises care by guiding LPNs, CNAs and other staff on the unit.
• Obtains orders, documents accurately, and ensures policy-compliant administration of meds.
• Notifies providers of significant changes in patient status and documents hand-offs.
