Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee Mission, Kansas is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive patient care. You will perform assessments, implement care plans, and administer medications while educating patients and families about health conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the unit or state.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiological, psychological, development, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
