Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Float Pool, nights. The role provides direct patient care across units using the nursing process from admission to discharge.

You will perform assessments, develop discharge planning, and coordinate care while supervising and delegating tasks to team members in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Current MA RN license and BLS are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN.
• BSN preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individual plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
