Job summary

Qualifications

• RN license in the State of Texas is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
• TNCC within 6 months; ENPC recommended within 12 months.
• Must communicate clearly with all levels of staff; English proficiency required.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values by communicating them to others.
• Delivers care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice.
• Provides effective and efficient patient care management in the ED.
• Organizes time, equipment, supplies and personnel for ED management.
• Performs thorough ED patient assessments prior to discharge.
• Responds promptly to patient and physician needs.
• Supports infection control, safety and risk management programs.
• Maintains professional competence through ongoing education.
