Job summary

Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shift coverage (7PM–7AM, 36 hours with rotating weekends). The RN will provide patient care using the Nursing Process, ensuring adherence to MS Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Required: current Mississippi RN license, BCLS, and progressive certification in ACLS/PALS/TNCC as applicable. Minimal one year inpatient experience is preferred; de-escalation training and ability to work in a high‑stress environment are

Qualifications

Must demonstrate superior communication/speaking/enunciation skills.
Must possess emotional stability conducive to dealing with high stress levels.
Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in complex situations is required.
De-escalation training must be completed by the end of orientation (90 days).

Responsibilities

Provide patient care using the Nursing Process as per standards and licensure.
Maintain required certifications within specified timelines (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC).
Supervise LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, Unit Technicians.
Adhere to hospital policies and ethics in daily patient care tasks.
Support the Patient Care Manager and collaborate with the Nursing team.
