Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night position in North Carolina. You will provide oxygen therapy, operate ventilators, and document care in the EMR to support patient oxygenation and safety.

The ideal candidate holds an NBRC RRT, current state licensure, and an associate degree in respiratory therapy, with BSRT preferred. Two years of critical care experience is expected for certain departments, with new grads considered for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/LRT in the state of work.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; BSRT preferred.
• 2 years critical care experience for certain ED areas; new grads with RRT may apply.

Responsibilities

• Administers and evaluates oxygen delivery and therapy procedures.
• Initiates, monitors and maintains mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Communicates results and plans of care to the healthcare team.
• Documents therapy in EMR and adheres to regulatory requirements.
• Performs blood sampling analysis and responds to abnormal results.
• Maintains safe care environments and follows departmental safety guidelines.
