Qualifications

• Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status.
• Current North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers respiratory patient care under physician direction and collaborates with the care team.
• Educates patients, including those with complex care issues, for hospital and post-discharge care.
• Performs airway management, collects arterial blood gases, and monitors ventilated patients.
• Weans patients from ventilation via spontaneous breathing trials and adjusts respiratory therapy as ordered.
