Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 12X3 night shift. The role covers ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator support, and comprehensive respiratory care for adults and neonates, under medical director oversight.

Requirements include a credentialed Respiratory Care Program, BLS and ACLS, plus NBRC registration. Texas licensure is required; NRP/PALS to be obtained within 12 months. New grads are welcome to apply.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapies: oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, incentive spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and ECGs.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation including bedside respiratory assessment and patient interview.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment (ventilators, airways, analyzers).
• Supports infection control, safety and quality assurance tasks.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Uses appropriate patient scripting to improve satisfaction.
