Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a PRN role to support patient care across routine and critical moments. The position offers access to advanced respiratory technology, mentorship, and a collaborative team, with a minimum of two night shifts per week.

You will assess respiratory status, deliver evidence‑based therapy, manage ventilation, and educate patients in a fast‑paced hospital environment while maintaining equipment and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

• NBRC‑RRT certification required or eligible.
• State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/RCP) in good standing.
• BCLS certification required; instructor designation preferred.
• CPR/BCLS instructor qualifications may be required by the department.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status and interpret breath sounds to determine interventions.
• Deliver evidence‑based therapy including oxygen and aerosolized meds.
• Manage ventilation and airway support across care settings.
• Educate patients and families and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain respiratory equipment and follow infection prevention standards.
