Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist in Desoto, TX seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFTs, and various forms of ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. You will assess and treat both adults and neonates under indirect supervision, following departmental policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS and ACLS, Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosol, and airway management.
• Conduct arterial blood gases, PFTs, and other cardiopulmonary tests.
• Assess, document, and report patient status with bedside evaluations.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and related equipment.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and quality assurance practices.
