Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for a part-time, casual/PRN night shift in Columbus, Ohio. The RT provides therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing per Ohio scope of practice for acutely and chronically ill patients.

The role requires a completed Respiratory Care Program, state license in Ohio with NBRC credentials (RRT/CRT), and current BLS certification, with duties including patient assessments, education, and collaboration with medical teams.

Formación

• Completion of a 2- or 4-year Respiratory Care Program or equivalent for registry eligibility.
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License to practice in Ohio and NBRC credential (RRT/CRT).
• Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures.
• Current BLS certification maintained.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Respiratory Care and patient safety; promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives.
• Perform duties outside normal routine care when required.
• Initiate and administer respiratory procedures, diagnostics, and education per policy.
• Record patient assessments and maintain records in the medical chart.
• Precept new employees and participate in student clinical rotations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
• Communicate with physicians and health care teams regarding care and treatment plans.
