Job summary

Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL seeks a Respiratory Therapist - Per Diem Level I for night shifts. Per diem requires 48 hours every 6 weeks, including 24 hours on weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program as determined by CoARC.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible status.
• Illinois licensure within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with respiratory therapy procedures as requested.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients per physician orders.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of therapy.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and QC activities; transcribe orders.
• Explain treatments to patients and families in clear Terms.
• Monitor physiological response to therapy, with emphasis on pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Educate patients and staff on therapy plans.
