Job summary

Trinity Health in Michigan is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and procedures related to cardiopulmonary disorders. This full-time role includes night shifts with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour options and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have completed Level I and II therapist competency requirements.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure by the State of Michigan.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC.
• At least six (6) months of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience; BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapist-driven protocols, patient assessments, administration of medications, and evaluate patient response to therapies.
• Documents performance and results of therapies (therapeutic and diagnostic) according to policy and procedures (inclusive of NICU transport).
• Accurately maintains the Order Entry and Charging system related to services rendered.
• Assists with data collection and CQI projects in the Respiratory Care Department process improvement plan.
• Supervises and assists in training of new employees and students.
• Cleans, assembles, maintains and troubleshoots all Respiratory Care equipment cost-effectively.
