Job summary

Trinity Health Michigan seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a part-time night shift. You will deliver individualized respiratory care across all ages, collaborate with the health care team, and participate in staff orientation and training as a teaching institution within Trinity Health System.

Requirements include an accredited respiratory therapy program, NBRC RRT certification, Michigan licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered as Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the NBRC.
• Current licensure to practice in Michigan as Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
• NRP and ACLS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• Previous work experience as a Respiratory Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence in adult critical care and revises care plans accordingly.
• Prioritizes therapy and patient care activities to meet changing demands.
• Coordinates with physicians, nurses and team to address care concerns.
• Documents and processes charges accurately for patient encounters.
• Maintains equipment and requests services as needed.
• Engages in ongoing education to maintain skills and competency.
• Upholds patient confidentiality and Trinity Health System values.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) NBRC

Michigan Respiratory Therapist Licensure

BLS - American Heart Association

NRP & ACLS certifications within 6 months

Previous RT experience preferred
