Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Associate's degree (RRT) or RRT equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the applicable state.
• BLS certification required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver oxygen therapy using appropriate delivery devices and equipment.
• Administer prescribed respiratory procedures and explain purpose and potential effects.
• Perform diagnostic procedures as per policy.
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust mechanical and non‑invasive ventilators.
• Evaluate current therapies and make recommendations on plans of care.
• Document therapy results and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Respond to emergencies and adapt respiratory care as needed.
• Maintain proficiency with respiratory care equipment and EMR interfaces.
