Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Lake Charles, LA seeks a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for adults, pediatrics and neonates under physician supervision. You will assess patients and develop respiratory care plans across hospital units.

Responsibilities include emergency response, airway management, ventilator operation, aerosolized meds, oxygen therapy and thorough documentation. Night shift, full time, 6PM–6AM, in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RT or RCP license required in state of employment.
• BLS required.
• RRT NBRC certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency response participation (Code Blue/White).
• Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning.
• Ventilator management and setup.
• Delivery of aerosolized drugs.
• Oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring.
• Accurate and complete documentation.
• Assist in CAP and JC surveys.
• Transport duties.
