Job summary

CHRISTUS Children's in Texas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision. You will assess patients, implement respiratory care plans, and perform diagnostic procedures across hospital areas.

Responsibilities include airway management, delivery of inhaled therapies, ventilator management, oxygen delivery, and accurate documentation to support patient care and safety. Shift work and full-time schedule apply.

Qualifications

• RT or RCP license in state of employment.
• BLS required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required.
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of leadership competencies and hospital standards.
• Emergency response and airway management including suctioning.
• Delivery of aerosolized drugs and ventilator setup/operation.
• Assess patients, institute respiratory care plans, and document care.
• Blood gas collection and analysis; EKG analysis; CAP and JC readiness.
