Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Corpus Christi is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients in a high-acuity hospital setting, under physician supervision.

Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator support, aerosolized medications, oxygen delivery, EKG analysis, and accurate documentation; shift leadership duties may apply in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• See licensure and/or certification requirements
• 1–3 years of experience preferred
• Current ACLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Others, or Leaders.
• Emergency response (Code Blue/White); airway management; delivery of aerosolized drugs.
• Ventilator management; oxygen delivery; chest film analysis; blood gas collection/analysis.
• EKG analysis; accurate documentation; cleaning/stocking of equipment; participate in CAP and JC surveys.
• RRTs may function as Shift Leader or Team Leader; advanced practice skills possible.
