Job summary

AdventHealth in Killeen, TX is seeking a Full Time Respiratory Therapist for Night shifts to join a multidisciplinary team providing respiratory care across patient populations.

You will perform procedures, manage ventilator support, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver optimal care, including neonatal to geriatric patients. Requires active Texas RCP license, NBRC RRT, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science required.
• Texas RCP license and NBRC RRT required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, BLS required.
• 1+ year of critical care experience preferred.
• neonatal to geriatric patient care capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
• Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork in assisting with patient flow.
• Practices standard precautions and safety regulations per hospital policies.
• Interprets evaluations and test results to determine appropriate treatment plans with the healthcare team.
• Responds to Code Blue emergencies with CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Performs respiratory and oxygen delivery therapies per protocol.
• Obtains and reports arterial blood gases and co-oximetry results.
• Maintains airway management including ventilation support per policy.
• Assesses patients and communicates effectiveness of therapy with the team.
• Other duties as assigned.
