Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, Michigan, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across the patient continuum. You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize CP rehabilitation plans and perform assessments and procedures as needed.

The role includes teaching responsibilities and potential in-charge duties, with a night shift from 7pm to 7:30am on a part-time basis, supporting inpatient and outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program or equivalent.
• An associate degree in science or allied health, or equivalent education/experience.
• RRT registration by NBRC is required.
• Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Michigan is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across the continuum of care.
• Perform therapeutic, rehabilitative procedures and diagnostic tests for cardiopulmonary conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and health-care team to plan optimal care.
• Conduct patient assessments and evaluate therapy effectiveness and delegation needs.
• Instruct employees and students in respiratory care procedures and assess competence.
• May serve as in-charge therapist and preceptor; night shift (7pm–7:30am).

Education

AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program

Associates degree in Science, Allied Health or equivalent

NBRC registration (RRT)

Michigan Respiratory Therapist licensure
