Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care per physician orders and departmental policies. The role includes documentation in the EMR, and may involve training RT students and new staff.

The position requires NBRC registration or registry eligibility, Missouri license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and NRP within 6 months. The shift is 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by the NBRC and licensed by the State of Missouri as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certified or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Must be self-motivated and follow hospital policies, procedures and practices.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CAP, Regulatory Compliance, and other regulatory standards.
• Administer respiratory care and electrodiagnostics as approved.
• Perform arteriotomies, run blood gases and CO-oximeter when approved.
• Attend in-service education programs and department meetings.
• Maintain EMR documentation of patient care and maintain department records.
• Foster effective liaison between medical staff, patients and families.
• Develop intra- and interdepartmental relationships.
• Maintain CEUs for Missouri RT license.
