AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include administering respiratory therapy, operating ventilators, and ensuring patient safety across neonatal to geriatric populations. The role requires NBRC credentials (CRT/RRT), BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, with EMR documentation and strict infection control practices.

Qualifications

• State Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• NBRC credential upheld; preferred active NBRC CRT/RRT
• CPR, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• NBRC credentialing necessary for new hires

Responsabilités

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor therapy effectiveness.
• Set up and operate mechanical ventilators and manage airway support.
• Perform ABG punctures and arterial blood sampling with sterile technique.
• Document patient data in EMR and adjust care plans as needed.
• Assess patient tolerance and modify therapy plans; teach family as appropriate.
• Maintain infection control and equipment sterilization procedures.
• Provide care across neonatal to geriatric patients.
