Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Central Massachusetts is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the night shift. You will monitor and support patients on mechanical ventilation, assist during procedures, and help develop treatment plans in a fast-paced care environment.

This non-exempt, full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external hires and requires MA licensure with NBRC RRT credentials. Schedule includes nights, weekends, and cross-campus responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current MA respiratory license.
• 2 months after hire to become an RRT as a condition of employment.
• NBRC RRT credential required for new hires.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in Respiratory Care.
• CPR certification current.
• Neonatal Resuscitation certification (Memorial Campus).
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and supports patients on mechanical ventilation and provides CPCR as needed.
• Assists during intubations and bronchoscopies at bedside.
• Establishes treatment plans and adjusts therapy per protocols.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Sets up ventilators and oxygen delivery devices.
• Coordinates airway carts and assists on code airway team.
• May perform resting and trending pulse oximetry.
