Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care or RT field required.
• Graduate of an NBRC-credentialed respiratory therapy program.
• Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner license is required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred where applicable.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop care plans with the healthcare team.
• Administer respiratory treatments and operate ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret blood gases and adjust therapy.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in multidisciplinary care.
• Mentor staff, support orientation and student education.
• Maintain equipment and infection control standards.
• Document care and protect patient confidentiality.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical education.
