Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Reliability Technician for our Kansas City, MO facility. In this role you will provide hands-on technical support on the production floor, build the team's maintenance capabilities, troubleshoot equipment, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency targets.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems), performing preventative maintenance using SAP, leading breakdown analyses, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Maintenance experience or formal technical education.
Fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work rotating shifts.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in heat, cold, heights.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and repair routine electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and drive systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform and document mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance using SAP, and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
Drive Improvement: Lead breakdown analysis and root-cause problem-solving to eliminate production losses and develop continuous improvement standards.
Coach & Develop: Train and mentor other technicians to enhance troubleshooting and repair skills.
Champion Safety: Uphold plant safety and GMP requirements, including LOTO and Confined Space procedures.
