AARC in Miami, FL is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift. The role involves performing respiratory therapy per physician orders, patient assessments, and education for patients and families.

You will collaborate with the medical team, participate in rounds, and act as a backup for emergency codes while ensuring safe and effective care for adults across MedSurg and ICU as needed.

Formación

• RRT license (state of Florida) or eligible
• BLS certification current
• ACLS/PALS within onboarding period
• Knowledge of pediatric/neonatal respiratory care is desirable

Responsabilidades

• Performs respiratory therapy modalities prescribed by physician orders.
• Assesses patient condition and documents pre/post therapy findings.
• Communicates with physicians and families; acts as patient advocate.
• Educates patients and families on Plan of Care and medications.
• Participates in Lean initiatives to improve care quality and efficiency.
• Participates in rounds with medical team and documents notes.
• Serves as backup for emergency codes (e.g., rapid response).
• Operates and monitors invasive/non-invasive ventilators and home ventilator setups.
• Performs room-airway clearance, HFNC, trach care, suctioning, and chest physiotherapy.
• Performs blood gases and quality assurance on equipment; reports malfunctions.
