Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full-time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its team. Hours are 7pm to 7am, three days a week; a $10K sign-on bonus is offered for this role.

As an RRT you will perform ABG analysis, ventilator support, and various respiratory therapies for adults and neonates, under supervision of the medical director, following department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license in good standing as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by NBRC (RRT).
• Minimum 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, humidity therapy, IPPB, and ventilator support.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, PFTs and electrocardiograms.
• Conducts bedside assessments and reviews medical records to evaluate treatment progress.
• Operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance activities.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license in good standing

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT)

BLS certification

ACLS certification

NRP or Pediatric Advanced Life Support must obtain within 1 year of hire
