Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Full-time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist to join its team. The role includes ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, and airway maintenance.

The position offers a $10K sign-on bonus and requires licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas, NBRC registration, and certification in BLS/ACLS with NRP/PALS within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Performs arterial blood gas analysis, PFTs, and ECGs.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation from bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interpretation of CXR, ABG and PFT data as part of patient care.
• Assembles, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment; maintains infection control.
