Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center, part of Methodist Health System, seeks a full-time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the team. The role offers a $10K sign-on bonus and night shift coverage from 7pm to 7am, with 3-night rotations per week.

Responsibilities include ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator supports for adults and neonates. The ideal candidate will have an accredited Respiratory Care Program, current BLS/ACLS, NBRC registration, Texas licensure, and at least 6 months of

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support- must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration and weaning, aerosol/humidity therapy, IPPB, and ventilation support.
• Performs cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures: ABG, pulse oximetry, PFTs, ECG.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation via bedside assessment and chart review.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient data.
• Assembles, checks, and troubleshoots CP equipment (ventilators, gas analyzers, etc.).
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Maintains and cleans CP equipment and work areas.
• Uses patient scripting to improve satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as required.
