Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA seeks a Registered Nurse for night shift coverage on a 24-hour operation. You will apply the nursing process from admission to discharge, assess patient needs, and plan discharge care while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires MA RN licensure, BLS (ACLS where required), and a BSN is highly preferred. In a union environment, you may be eligible for a signing bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN licensure and registration.
• BLS required for every RN; ACLS must be current if not, plus unit certifications as needed.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for patient care from Admission to Discharge, appropriate to patient age.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per standard procedure.
• Develops and coordinates patient care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the assigned clinical setting.
• Delegates tasks to team members in line with job description and competency.
