Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent required before start date and valid at least 60 days beyond start date.
• ACLS required by end of unit orientation for specified units.
• NRP certification required by end of unit orientation for PEDS.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plan and implement nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Make appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assume responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
