Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Leominster, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 11:00pm-7:30am night shift. You will apply the Nursing Process from admission to discharge, coordinating care across the patient’s stay.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS is a requirement for every RN unless ACLS certification is current, in addition to any unit-specific certifications.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from Admission to Discharge.
• Performs patient assessment/reassessment according to standard procedure.
• Coordinates and plans discharge to ensure continuity of care.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the unit.
• Delegates tasks appropriately per job description and competency.
• Documents patient care according to standard procedure.
• Develops and documents Education Plan for patient/family.
• Ensures quality and continuity of care through collaboration with other providers.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures and tests as required.
• Participates in Nursing Governance and professional development.
• Contributes to performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
