Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the 6th Floor Med/Surg Telemetry team in Glendale, CA, for a full-time 12-hour night shift. The role supports the Chief Nursing Officer in delivering safe, high-quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.

The RN will participate in planning and coordinating care for the shift, mentor staff, and collaborate with multiple departments to improve unit performance.

Qualifications

• Must hold in-state RN license in California or equivalent; active and in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS often required per unit policy.
• Experience in acute care, ortho or stroke populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the patient care team for shift delivery and ensure safety, recovery and comfort.
• Support quality improvement and unit growth in collaboration with leadership.
• Plan, direct and coordinate nursing care; mentor new hires and students.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and post-care actions.
