JPS Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Med Surg – Respiratory/Pulmonary Unit, Night shift (7p-7a) at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. The RN assesses, plans, directs, and delivers high-quality patient care on a 582-bed system with Level I trauma capabilities.

Requires Nursing Diploma or higher, Texas license or reciprocity within 90 days, BLS, and completion of EKG/ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma from an Accredited Diploma Program or Associate or higher Degree in Nursing.
• Current Texas State nursing license or reciprocity within 90 days.
• BLS certification required and maintained throughout employment.
• EKG and ACLS completion within 90 days of hire (if on a monitored unit).
• Unit-specific orientation within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assesses, directs, implements and provides quality patient care for assigned patients.
• Monitors changes in patient condition and reports symptoms and vital signs.
• Completes data collection on patient presentations and history.
• Collaborates with care team to identify goals and discharge planning.
• Documents orders, charges, and information accurately in medical records.
• Delivers care with infection prevention and patient safety in mind.
• Coordinates patient transfers and handoffs per policy.
