Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Antepartum/Gynecology unit to work the night shift at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires comprehensive obstetric nursing care, critical thinking, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety and positive outcomes for antepartum and gynecology patients.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and TX RN licensure required
• BLS required; NRP and other trainings as specified
• ACLS/Neonatal/ fetal monitoring training preferred or required
• HIPAA-compliant documentation and patient care
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides quality patient care for assigned obstetric patients.
• Monitors patient condition; records vital signs and reports changes.
• Completes data collection and assesses patient needs.
• Collaborates on care plans; coordinates discharge planning with families.
• Delivers education on treatment, pain management, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains accurate records and uses the electronic medical record system.
• Ensures infection control and safety standards.
• Communicates hand-offs clearly with the care team.

Nursing Diploma/Associate or higher in Nursing

Texas RN license or reciprocity

BLS certification

AAP Neonatal Resuscitation within 3 months

EKG course within 180 days

ACLS within 90 days
