Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut seeks a registered nurse for the night shift (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) to deliver direct and indirect patient-centered care, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team and reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

You will perform assessments, manage pain, develop care plans, ensure medication safety, document care, and mentor colleagues while providing age-appropriate care across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have and maintain current a Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut.
• ACLS and BLS certification required or obtained within orientation.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs population-specific comprehensive assessments and reassessments of the patient's condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain. Utilize pain management tools and educate patient/family.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care with interdisciplinary team.
• Follows the five medication rights and ensures safe administration.
• Documents nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates autonomy and professional growth; mentors others.
• Provides age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
• Assists physicians with peri-anesthesia procedures and airway management.
