Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. in Connecticut seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver direct and indirect patient care during the night shift. Using the nursing process, you will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team and respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a CT RN license, and maintain BLS/ACLS. The role emphasizes patient safety, evidence-based practice, teaching families, and professional growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and CT RN license.
• Current CT RN license required; ACLS and BLS certifications on hire or during orientation.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs population-specific assessments and re-assessments of the patient's condition and care needs.
• Assess and reassess pain; educate on pain management; document assessments and evaluations.
• Develops and revises care plans with interdisciplinary collaboration and patient response.
• Follows medication rights and ensures safe administration for each patient.
• Delivers patient care in a safe environment and documents nursing processes promptly.
• Delivers teaching plans to patients and families based on identified needs.
• Demonstrates autonomous practice and commitment to professional growth and role modeling.
• Interprets patient data to identify age-appropriate needs and respond accordingly.
