Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Reno is seeking an RN to provide and supervise care on a nursing unit. The night shift from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am offers opportunities to work closely with the care team and plan patient discharges as needed.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and educating patients and families for post-hospitalization. ACLS required for charge nurses and BLS certification is essential.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
• Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.
• May perform other related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse.
