Job summary

Shelby Oaks Post Acute in Memphis, TN seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shift (7pm-7am). You will assess health needs, develop personalized care plans, administer medications, and monitor patient progress in a sub-acute setting.

Responsibilities include staffing coordination with the Station Manager and RN Supervisor, supervising CNAs, daily rounds, and maintaining a warm, safe environment for residents while ensuring nursing standards are met.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the state of employment (compact).
• CPR certification.
• Experience in sub-acute settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in determining staffing needs for the nursing service department.
• Ensure sufficient CNAs per tour to meet residents’ daily care needs.
• Develop work assignments and schedule duty hours.
• Make daily rounds to ensure CNAs meet nursing standards.
• Monitor absenteeism and report issues to RN Supervisor.
• Address complaints and grievances and report as required.
• Maintain a warm, calm station environment and positive care atmosphere.
• Meet with CNAs regularly to improve service quality.
• Report occupational exposures per facility policies.
