Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in San Marcos, TX seeks a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in a busy clinical setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care using the nursing process, administer meds, monitor effects, and delegate tasks as appropriate.

Requires a BSN (preferred), an active TX RN license (or compact), and current BLS; ACLS preferred. One year of related experience is preferred; orientation/residency may be offered upon hire. Work hours: 7PM–7AM, full time.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Current ACLS & BLS certifications required (ACLS preferred).
• Active RN license in TX or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Administers medications and treatments; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, and care given.
• Addresses learning needs and educates patients and families.
• Assists with appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers.
• Meets competencies: Leader of Self/Others/Leaders.
