Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, Texas seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time night shift 7P-7A in the 3 West Medical Surgical Orthopedic Trauma unit. Provides and directs patient care according to established standards to ensure quality outcomes.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license/Compact, current BLS certification, and BSN within 3 years; med-surg certification is preferred. UMC offers comprehensive orientation and an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License or Eligible Compact License.
• Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years.
• Med-surg certification preferred and encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement or delegate, plan and evaluate total nursing care.
• Coordinate with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care.
