Job summary

UMC Health System in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced RN for Oncology Acute Care on the 4 East unit. This full-time night shift (7pm–7am) role focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to oncology patients in a fast-paced 33-bed unit.

The successful candidate will hold a Texas RN license (or eligible for Compact) and a BSN with a current BLS. Oncologic certification and chemo training within 1 year are preferred to support clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License.
• Acute Care experience preferred.
• Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• BSN required or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• UMC Chemo Certificate Course completed within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, delegates and evaluates total nursing care.
• Delivers care for a group of oncology patients on 4 East Medical-Surgical unit.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Maintains professional standards and continuity of care across shifts.
