Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Quality Technician to conduct inspections per the Quality Management System, ensuring materials meet specifications before release. You will participate in audits, collect and manage inspection data in ERP, and support calibration and tool management.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ years of manufacturing experience, strong communication, and basic math skills. On-site position with Steffes’ quality-focused culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic and advanced math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable in critical manufacturing processes: fabrication, welding, assembly, painting.
• Learn and apply the Steffes QMS.
• Perform inspections (First article, final, and receiving).
• Read and interpret customer drawings, tolerances, specs.
• Record inspection data in ERP; manage nonconformances and calibrations.
• Calibrate tools/devices; handle calibrations with third parties.
• Provide quality training across the organization.
• Assist in quality audits with customers and internal teams.
• Communicate cross-functionally about product/process conformity.
• Maintain a collaborative, safe, and positive work environment.
