Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC is hiring a Quality Inspector to ensure product quality from incoming materials through final inspection. You will read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and gauges, document results, and work with production and engineering to reduce scrap.

Shift is 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 7 days per week (2-2-3). The role requires a high school diploma, attention to detail, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. ISO 9001 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with quality certification preferred.
• Experience in quality inspection in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Skilled with standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and math/measurement ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products for conformance to specs.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specs, and work instructions accurately.
• Identify and control non-conforming material in designated Quality Hold areas.
• Record inspection results accurately and communicate findings to teams.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, shipping, and engineering to reduce scrap and rework.
