Job summary

Steffes is seeking a Quality Technician to perform inspections per the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure products meet internal and external requirements before customer release.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, recording data in ERP, and supporting calibration, audits, and training. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous quality improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet browsing.

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable in critical manufacturing processes: fabrication, welding, assembly, paint.
• Become knowledgeable on the Steffes Quality Management System (QMS).
• Conduct inspections as required: First article, final, and receiving inspections.
• Read and communicate information from customer drawings, tolerances, and specifications.
• Use Steffes ERP to record inspection data, nonconformances, and tool calibrations.
• Perform tool and device calibrations and manage calibration tasks with third parties.
• Process tool/device requests and deliver quality training across Steffes.
• Measure and inspect materials under Quality Engineering direction.
• Participate in quality audits and cross-functional quality improvement projects.
• Communicate effectively across the organization about product and process conformance.
• Maintain a collaborative, safety-focused work atmosphere.
• Support Steffes strategic quality and safety objectives.
• Other duties may be assigned.
