Job summary

Kellanova in Rome, GA is hiring a Quality and Food Safety (QFS) Supervisor for our on-site night shift (10:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., Sun–Thu with flexibility). You will lead initiatives to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.

Work with Corporate Quality and plant leadership to drive continuous improvement, manage allergen controls, inspections, and the site Food Safety Plan while developing QFS technicians.

Qualifications

• HACCP, SQF, and PCQI experience
• Hands-on microbiology laboratory experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering accountability and execution
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Compliance Leadership – Ensure adherence to microbial, sanitation, and food safety requirements, including HACCP, mandatory training, line validations, and third-party audit readiness.
• Program Management – Oversee allergen controls, inspection programs, and the site Food Safety Plan, while managing the QFS Lab budget and associated documentation.
• Continuous Improvement – Drive HPO initiatives, ensure compliance with SOPs and KPIs, and support development and maintenance of the site’s QFS SOP database.
• Team Development – Lead, coach, and train QFS Technicians, ensuring they have the knowledge, tools, and support to be successful.
