Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for the night shift in the Roanoke area, VA. The role leads QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory to ensure products meet food safety and quality standards.

You will develop the team, interpret testing results, support audits, and collaborate with plant departments to improve processes and maintain consistent quality across operations. Overnight availability is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or comparable education in biology, chemistry, food science or related field.
• 1–3 years of QA or related experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with lab testing in a production setting.
• Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work overnight schedule and overtime as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk production floor, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lb.

Responsabilités

• Lead QA personnel on the production floor and in the laboratory.
• Develop team members through coaching and feedback.
• Collaborate with Production to address quality concerns and maintain food safety.
• Oversee QA programs, documentation, training, and internal audits.
• Support regulatory, certification, customer specs and product specs.
• Review lab results, investigate outliers, and identify trends.
• Recommend process improvements from data and quality performance.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and supplier assessments.
• Lead continuous improvement to strengthen product quality and customer satisfaction.
