Qualifications

• Medication certification; QMAP-A/L, Med Tech, Med Aide, Nurse Delegation
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• High school diploma or GED
• One year elder care experience preferred
• Strong self-management and organization
• Good multi-tasking and flexibility with deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Attend to residents' personal care needs and assist with ADLs as requested
• Provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, meals and laundry
• Identify and report resident care needs to supervisor
• Respond to family needs as appropriate
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents
• Report suspected abuse or misappropriation of resources
• Document changes in resident status or health
• Assist with prescribed daily medication routines under supervision
• Notify RN/LPN of questions about medication records
• Ensure timely documentation including refusals
• Restock medication carts and supplies
• Complete work orders for replacements or repairs
• Participate in monthly staff meetings
